Kenneth Hartley Blanchard, known as Ken Blanchard, is an American management expert and author of numerous books. He was born in 1939 in Orange, New Jersey, and grew up in New Rochelle, New York. Blanchard graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1957 before attending Cornell University. At Cornell, he earned a Bachelor's degree in 1961, studying management and philosophy. He later obtained a Master's degree in sociology from Colgate University in 1963, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Cornell University in 1967.
