Kevin Zegers, a Canadian actor, was born in Woodstock, Ontario on September 19, 1984.His father, James Zegers, worked in a quarry, while his mother, Mary Ellen Zegers, was a school teacher. Kevin grew up in Woodstock alongside his two sisters, Krista and Katie.
Beginnings in Entertainment
Kevin's journey in entertainment began at the tender age of six when he appeared in over 30 commercials and even worked as a model. His first television role came at the age of seven when he played a minor character in the comedy "Life With Mikey" (1993).
Rise to Prominence
After a supporting role in the horror remake "Dawn of the Dead" (2004), Zegers landed a breakout role alongside Felicity Huffman in the independent drama "Transamerica" (2005). His portrayal of the transgender character, Toby, earned him a Cannes Film Festival award in 2006.That same year, he starred in the comedy "She's the Man" with Amanda Bynes.
Continued Success
In 2008, Zegers took on a leading role in the horror-thriller "Fifty Dead Men Walking."He has since appeared in numerous films and television series, including "The Smurfs" (2011), "The Colony" (2013), and "Not Fade Away" (2012).
