Biography of Kim Lyons
Kim Lyons is an American fitness trainer, fitness model, and nutrition specialist. She gained recognition as a professional athlete in the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) in 2002. Alongside her athletic achievements, she also made a name for herself as a successful fitness model, gracing the covers of numerous magazines dedicated to sports, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.

Television Career
Kim Lyons made her mark on television in the American version of the competitive reality show 'The Biggest Loser.' She initially replaced fellow trainer Jillian Michaels in the third season and went on to be a trainer for a competing team in the fourth season. Despite fans' expectations, Kim did not return for the fifth season and has not appeared on the show since. In 2008, she participated in the 'Miss America' competition and published a book titled 'Kim Lyons: Your Body, Your Life.' Additionally, Kim appeared as a personal trainer in the segment 'Ultimate Weight Loss Race' on the seventh season of 'Dr. Phil.'

Early Life and Education
Kimberly Lyn Lyons was born on May 5, 1973. Initially aspiring to become a pilot, Kim attended Colorado State University. However, she discovered her true passion for fitness and healthy nutrition, prompting her to specialize in human development and dietetics. After graduating from university in 1995, Kim became a fitness instructor and taught aerobics. Eventually, this led her to participate in the prestigious 'Galaxy Fitness' competition.
Seeking more comprehensive knowledge, Kim became a student at the National Academy of Sports Medicine, where she obtained qualifications as a personal trainer.
Personal Life
Kim Lyons currently resides in the small yet beautiful city of Hermosa Beach, California. In March 2007, she married German bodybuilder Gunter Schlierkamp. This marked their second marriage, as Kim had previously been married to F-16 pilot Andrew Lyons. On June 3, 2010, Kim and Gunter welcomed their first child, a son named Jake Alexander.
Advocacy and Philanthropy
With extensive experience working with individuals suffering from diabetic peripheral neuropathy, Kim actively participates in the 'Take the Next Step' program, aiming to help others realize their potential through moderate physical exercise and emotional support. She frequently speaks at 'TCOYD' and 'ADA' conventions across the country, organizations focused on diabetes prevention and management, in order to educate people on the importance of proper nutrition and physical exercise in combating this insidious disease.
