Biography of Kirill Kostenko

Kirill Vitalievich Kostenko was born in 1972 in Mariupol. He completed secondary school in 1989 in Simferopol. In 2006, he graduated from the Taurida National University named after Vernadsky, specializing in Organization Management and Enterprise Management.

Former Mayor of Simeiz

For 15 years, Kirill Kostenko was involved in the organization and control of company activities, as well as practical aspects of managing material and financial resources. He served as the Mayor of Simeiz and was also a Deputy of the Simeiz settlement council.

Achievements and Responsibilities

As the Mayor of Simeiz, Kirill Kostenko was responsible for the supervision and management of various projects, including the implementation of the sewage system in the southwestern part of the council's lands, from Foros to the Simeiz sewage treatment facilities. He also led the work of the Permanent Deputy Commission on Architecture, Construction Policy, Privatization, and Transport.

Unfortunately, Kirill Kostenko's political career was tarnished when he and another member of the Simeiz settlement council were arrested on suspicion of accepting a bribe of 400,000 UAH for resolving a land issue. The law enforcement officials detained them while they were in the process of receiving the bribe. The prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case under Article 368 of the Criminal Code, which relates to the offense of bribery.
