Lara Belmont is a British actress, best known for her role as Jessie in the drama film "The War Zone." She was born in 1980 in Oxford, United Kingdom. Before embarking on her acting career, Lara worked as a model until she auditioned for Tim Roth's drama film "The War Zone" in 1999, which was adapted from Alexander Stuart's novel of the same name.

In Marcus Adams' horror film "Dead Long Enough: The Revenge of the Genie," she played a student named Stella. The film also starred Joe Absolom, Lucas Haas, Melanie Gutteridge, and Alec Newman. The movie revolves around a group of British students who decide to summon spirits, leading to a bloody massacre where survival becomes their focus. In David Drury's thriller "Swap," Lara portrayed 19-year-old Lisa Forrester, the daughter of overly protective parents played by Michael Maloney and Jemma Redgrave. In the adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky's classic novel "Crime and Punishment," Belmont played the role of Sonia Marmeladova.

In 2003, Belmont starred as Sofia in Pierce Ashworth's Spanish comedy "Oh Marbella!" alongside Rick Mayall, Tom Bell, and Mike Reid. That same year, she played various roles in television projects such as "Hitler Is Dead," a docudrama about the 1944 Operation, "Foxley," and the historical drama "Henry VIII," which delves into the turbulent reign of England's cruel king. In "Henry VIII," Lara portrayed the younger sister of the king, Mary Tudor.

Bill and Take Me Back

In 2004, Belmont took on the role of Helen Ward in the British police series "Bill." She appeared in two episodes before deciding to return to the big screen. In 2005, she starred in the short film "Take Me Back."
