Stefania Ravetto is an Italian politician who has held various positions in the Italian Parliament and government. Her political career has spanned over a decade, during which she has made significant contributions to the country's politics.
Early Life and Education
Stefania Ravetto was born in Milan, Italy. She earned a law degree from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. Prior to entering politics, she worked as the head of legal affairs for the Italian branch of the multinational pharmaceutical corporation Schering-Plough.
Early Political Career
Ravetto began her political career in 2006, when she was elected to the Chamber of Deputies of Italy from the Lombardy 1 constituency on the Forza Italia party list. She served as a member of the Forza Italia parliamentary group and on the V Commission (Budget, Finance, and Planning).
Rise to Prominence
In 2008, Ravetto was re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies on the Popolo della Libertà (People of Freedom) party list. She led the Italian parliamentary delegation to the Central European Initiative that year.
At the founding congress of the People of Freedom party in 2009, Ravetto was appointed as the party's head of public relations and communications.
Government Service
In 2010, Ravetto was appointed Undersecretary for Parliamentary Relations in the fourth government of Silvio Berlusconi. She held this position until 2011.
Continued Parliamentary Career
After the dissolution of the People of Freedom party in 2013, Ravetto joined the Forza Italia party. She has held various positions in the Italian Parliament, including:
