Born in the Soviet Union, the multi-faceted actor and screenwriter embarked on a remarkable journey that spanned two continents.
Early Life and Education
He completed his studies at the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music, and Cinematography (LGITMiK).
Artistic Beginnings
Upon graduation, he joined the Russian Drama Theater named after Ivanov in Odessa.
Artistic Turmoil
In 1990, when the theater's artistic director staged an anti-Semitic play, he and other prominent actors left the troupe. He subsequently performed in the Theater Arkady, notably in the production "Jewish Happiness."
Bridging Continents
In 1994, he made the transformative decision to relocate to the United States.
"Blincom" and the Golden Ostap Award
Joining forces with fellow Odessan actors Valery Basselem and Alexander Krasnopolsky, he established the New York-based show theater "Blincom." Their efforts were recognized with the prestigious Golden Ostap Award.
Russian Jewish Theater "Khaverim"
In 2007, he became an integral part of the Russian Jewish Theater "Khaverim" in New York City.
