Biography of Libuše Šafránková

Libuše Šafránková was a Czech actress born on June 7, 1953, in Brno, Czechoslovakia. She had a passion for theater from a young age. Libuše has a younger sister, Miroslava Šafránková, with whom she appeared in the film "The Little Mermaid." Her first success came after starring in the film "Grandmother," based on a novel by the famous Czech writer Božena Němcová. The film was directed by Antonín Moskalyk, and Libuše Šafránková played the role of a child writer.

Early Career

After her successful work in films, Libuše Šafránková started performing at the renowned author's theater, the "Dramatic Club" in Prague. It was there that she met her future husband, the famous Czech actor Josef Abrhám.
