Lina Braknite was born in 1952 in Vilnius. At the age of twelve, she made her first appearance in a film, playing the lead role in the children's movie "The Girl and the Echo" directed by Arunas Zebriunas.
Early Acting Career
After a year, Alexei Batalov invited Lina to play the role of Suok in the film "Three Chubby Men" after reviewing hundreds of candidates. Lina Braknite went on to star in several other films, most notably the remarkable melodrama "Dubravka" directed by Radomir Vasilevsky. She received an award for her role in this film at the Republican Film Festival.
Life After Acting
After finishing school, Lina came to Moscow to study at the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), but she faced disappointment. Returning to Vilnius, she pursued a career in history and worked for over twenty years in the rare books department of the Institute of History Library.
