Biography of Lori-Ann Hering
Lori-Ann Hering is an American film actress. She was born in Panama City, Panama, but grew up in Austin, Texas. Hering developed a passion for theater while in Austin, although she did not seriously consider an acting career at that stage. However, as she herself stated, her plans for the future were constantly changing on a daily basis. At one point, Lori-Ann even seriously considered becoming a figure skater.
Hering maintains close relationships with her parents and visits them whenever possible. She also has a brother, Jason, who lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife.
After completing college and obtaining a degree in finance, Hering's interests took yet another sharp turn, and she decided to pursue a career in acting. She moved to Los Angeles and began searching for roles. Her career started with relatively small roles in films such as "The Newton Boys" (1998) and "The Operator," "The Snake Tales," and "Just Sue Me" (2000).
However, Hering experienced two breakthroughs in quick succession. She appeared in David Lynch's "Mulholland Dr." (2001) alongside Naomi Watts and Justin Theroux, as well as the psychological drama "The In Crowd" (2001) directed by Mary Lambert. It was the latter role that finally brought her recognition.
In 2001, Hering starred in the art film "Nailed" with Harvey Keitel. Shortly after, she played the lead role alongside Tom Berenger in the film "True Blue." The following year, Hering had the opportunity to work with Nick Stahl in the film "Taboo" and participated in the Sundance Film Festival.
In 2002, Hering appeared in the TV movie "The Locket" with Vanessa Redgrave. In 2003, she completed work on the Lifetime channel project "The Perfect Romance" with Kathleen Quinlan. Her resume gradually filled with more projects, and her desired goal began to seem within reach.
In 2003, Hering starred in the thriller "Runaway Jury" alongside Gene Hackman and John Cusack. In 2004, the film "Soccer Dog: European Cup" was released by Columbia Pictures. That same year, Lori-Ann appeared in the independent film "Mummy an' the Armadillo" with Brad Renfro, and in 2006, she starred in "False Prophets."
In 2005, Hering appeared in the Hungarian film "8 MM 2" with Jonathan Schaech. The film was released by Sony, with J.S. Cardone as the director.
