Biography of Maciej Nalepa

Early Life and Career

Maciej Nalepa is a Polish footballer who played the position of goalkeeper. Born in Tarnów, Poland, Nalepa moved to Rzeszów at the age of two with his father, a former footballer himself. There, he joined a football academy at the age of ten. Nalepa spent his early career in Poland, playing for various first division teams.

Professional Career

In 2001, Nalepa moved to Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine, where he quickly became a starting goalkeeper. He returned to Poland in 2005, signing with ŁKS Łódź. However, the club's financial difficulties forced Nalepa to leave after a brief stint. He rejoined Karpaty Lviv in 2006.

From 2008 to 2009, Nalepa played for FC Kharkiv in Ukraine. He then returned to Poland and signed with Piast Gliwice in 2010. In 2011, he joined Odra Opole, followed by a spell with third-tier Polish club Zaczernie.

International Career

Nalepa made two appearances for the Poland national football team. His first appearance came in a friendly match against Estonia in 2005. He also played in a World Cup qualifying match against Finland in 2009.

Later Years and Retirement

Nalepa continued to play professional football until he retired in 2016. Since then, he has remained involved in football as a coach and mentor.
