Early Life and Education

Armen was born in 1971, and attended the Moscow Institute of Civil Engineering from 1971-1976. He subsequently earned a degree in Economics from the Belgorod Institute of Consumer Cooperatives from 1986-1989.

Military Service and Early Career

From 1968-1970, Armen served in the Soviet Army. After completing his military service, he worked within the Ministry of Trade of the Armenian SSR from 1971-1990, holding various positions such as Chief Accountant and Director of Food Trade.

Business Career

From 1990-1997, Armen served as Chairman of Orion LLC.
Political Career
First Term in Parliament (1999-2003)

In 1999, Armen was elected as a Member of Parliament and served until 2003. He was a member of the Standing Committee on Financial, Budgetary, and Economic Matters.

Second Term in Parliament (2003-2007)

Armen was re-elected to Parliament in 2003 and served a second term until 2007. During this term, he served as a member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.

Leader of the Democratic Path Party (2007-Present)

Since 2007, Armen has served as the Leader of the Democratic Path Party. He remains an influential figure in Armenian politics.
