Infancy and Education of a Literary Enthusiast

Marcus Alexander, a British fantasy writer, exhibited a profound passion for reading from a tender age. Growing up in London, he devoured science fiction and fantasy novels at an astonishing pace, establishing himself as an avid bibliophile. His unwavering dedication to literary worlds and extraordinary adventures persisted throughout his formative years.

Travelling the World

Despite his family's initial reluctance, Marcus embarked on a solitary journey to explore the world at age 14. He worked tirelessly to earn enough funds to travel the British Isles. At 16, he ventured beyond the UK, visiting Paris, Marseille, and Nice with a fellow traveller. His true globetrotting adventures began in earnest at 18, when he backpacked around the world. He traversed France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, and countless other destinations, often spending weeks or months in each locale, supplementing his travels with part-time work. Marcus also embraced extreme sports such as snowboarding during his extensive travels.

A Journey into Writing

Upon his return home, Marcus's worldly experiences ignited a new adventure: writing. As a 7-year-old, he had dabbled in creative writing and entered writing competitions. However, he had ceased pursuing it by age 13. In 2008, he self-published his debut novel, "Who is Charlie Keeper?". The manuscript caught the attention of Puffin, a prominent London publishing house. After meticulous editing, it was re-released in 2012 as "Crow's Revenge", the first installment in the "Keeper of the Realms" series. This trilogy follows the adventures of Charlie Keeper, a banished heroine who discovers a portal in her home leading to the magical and mythical realms of Bellania. Charlie's fate intertwines with the world's destiny, and she must unravel the secrets of her guardian, Mr. Crow, to unlock its mysteries.

A Life of Literature and Adventure

Marcus Alexander has found his dream job in writing. It allows him to continue his travels, indulge in his creative pursuits, and connect with his young fans. As a successful author, he embarks on book tours, meeting avid readers who share his passion for storytelling and adventure.
