Marcus Wendel Valle da Silva, known simply as Wendel, was born on August 28, 1997, in Duque de Caxias, Brazil. From an early age, he excelled in soccer and joined the local youth club, Tigres do Brasil. By 18, he had caught the attention of scouts from Fluminense FC.
