Marta Sanchez, whose full name is Marta Sanchez Lopez, was born on May 8, 1966, in Madrid, Spain. Her father, Antonio Sanchez Camporro, was an opera singer, so she was exposed to the world of music and musical theory from an early age. Marta started singing at a young age, but initially she was hesitant to pursue a serious musical career. However, she found her place in the group 'Cristal Oskuro' and caught the attention of Tino Azores, one of the sound technicians for the popular group 'Ole Ole'.

In 1985, Sanchez became the lead vocalist of 'Ole Ole', replacing Vicky Larraz who was focusing on her solo career. Through her participation in 'Ole Ole', Marta Sanchez gained incredible popularity in Spain. Within a few years, she became the country's main and possibly the first true sex symbol, as Spain was experiencing a period of loosening religious values and increased interest in contemporary music and Western culture.
