Early Life and CareerMathieu Bodmer, a native of Évreux, began his football journey at the tender age of 14 with FC Évreux. His impressive displays there soon earned him a move to FC Caen in the French second division.
Caen Days
Bodmer made his league debut for Caen in 2000 and became a vital cog in the club's midfield. Over his tenure, he made 105 appearances and netted 4 goals. His performances caught the attention of Lille, who signed him for a fee of €1 million in 2003.
Lille Success
