Early Life and Education
Mora Derrane was born on July 8, 1970, in Inishmore, County Galway, Ireland. She currently resides in Dublin and occasionally in Waterford.
Journalism Career
After working as a researcher for RTÉ News in Galway, Derrane joined TG4 in 1996 as a newsreader. She has also worked for RTÉ, TV3, and TG4.
Marriage and Family
On May 27, 2005, Derrane married politician John Deasy, with whom she had been in a relationship for three years prior to their wedding. The couple has one son, Cal Deasy, who was born on May 13, 2014.
