Early Life and Education
Meirav Ben-Ari was born in Raanana, Israel, and later moved to Netanya with her family. Her father, Raphael Ben-Ari, was an Iranian immigrant, while her mother, Esther Ben-Ari, was a Libyan-Jewish Israeli.
Ben-Ari completed her military service in the Israel Defense Forces as an education officer in the Golan Brigade. She subsequently earned a bachelor's degree in law and government from the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya, and a master's degree in business administration from the same institution.
Political Career in Tel Aviv
In 2003-2004, Ben-Ari served as chair of the student union at her college. In 2005, she participated in the reality TV show "A Leader is Needed" and won the competition, receiving a prize of NIS 5 million.
In the 2013 local elections, she ran on the Rov Ha-Ir list for Tel Aviv City Council. She was elected to the council and held the position of Deputy Mayor for Youth Advancement.
Entry into the Knesset
Before the 2015 elections, Ben-Ari joined the newly formed Kulanu party and was placed tenth on its list. Kulanu won ten seats in the elections, and Ben-Ari entered the Knesset as a member of the 20th Knesset.
