Mesut Yılmaz: Turkish Prime Minister in the 1990s

Political Career
In 1983, Yılmaz joined the Motherland Party (ANAP) founded by Turgut Özal, serving as deputy chairman. He entered parliament in 1983 and became Foreign Minister in 1987.
Prime Ministership
During the 1990s, Yılmaz's rise in ANAP led to his tenure as Prime Minister of Turkey three times. However, his first and second terms were short-lived due to party electoral losses and coalition disputes with the True Path Party led by Tansu Çiller.
