Early Life and Education
Yuri Aleksandrovich Vorobyov was born on May 26, 1936, in the village of Uspenovka in the Odesa region of Soviet Ukraine.
In 1960, Vorobyov graduated from the Odessa Cinema College, specializing in the repair and maintenance of film production equipment.
Career at Belarusfilm
Later that year, Vorobyov joined the Belarusfilm film studio in Minsk, Belarus. He initially served as an assistant to the cinematographer and later as a second cameraman on feature and documentary films.
Further Studies
In 1973, Vorobyov completed his education at the Leningrad Institute of Film Engineers (LIKI).
Work as an Animator
From 1979 onward, Vorobyov worked as a cinematographer for Belarusfilm's animation studio, where he contributed to numerous animated short films and feature-length productions.
