Early Career at St. GallenMichael Lang, a Swiss professional footballer, began his journey at FC St. Gallen's academy. In 2006, he made his debut with the first team. Over five seasons, Lang played 67 matches and scored four goals for St. Gallen.
Move to Grasshoppers and Swiss Cup Triumph
In 2011, Lang transferred to Grasshopper Club Zürich, where he celebrated his first major triumph in 2013 with the Swiss Cup title. After his contract with Grasshoppers expired on July 1, 2015, Lang joined FC Basel as a free agent.
Success with Basel
Lang's arrival at Basel proved immediately impactful. In the second matchday of the new season, he netted the winning goal against his former club, Grasshoppers. A few days later, he scored against Lech Poznań in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
