Early Life and CareerMichael Nader was born into a life of entertainment. His uncle was legendary actor George Nader. Michael began his career modestly, appearing as an extra in several "Beach Party" films in the early 1960s. He made notable appearances in television shows such as "Gidget" and played a minor role in the infamous musical "Lost Horizon" in 1973.
Breakthrough in Soap Operas
Nader's big break came in 1976 when he was cast as Kevin Thompson in the soap opera "As the World Turns." In 1983, he landed the role that would make him famous: Farnworth "Dex" Dexter in the prime-time hit "Dynasty." Nader portrayed the charming and enigmatic Dex until the show's conclusion in 1989.
"All My Children" and Beyond
After "Dynasty," Nader joined the cast of another long-running soap opera, "All My Children." He played the role of Dimitri Marick, opposite Susan Lucci's Erica Kane, from 1991 to 1999 and then again in 2000 and 2001. Nader made guest appearances in numerous television shows, including "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Cold Case."

Nader was married twice. His first marriage to Robin Weiss in 1984 produced a daughter, Lindsay Michelle. He later married Beth Windsor in 1992.
