Early Life and Education
Birth and Early EducationMikhail Pavlovich Batura was born on May 16, 1950, in Klyukovichy village, Belarus. In 1966, he graduated with honors from Kurovichy High School.
Military Service
From 1968 to 1970, Batura served in the Soviet Armed Forces. In 1970, he received the "For Military Valor" medal.
Academic Achievements
In August 1970, Batura became a student at the Minsk Radio Engineering Institute (MRTI). Throughout his undergraduate years, he excelled academically as a student of distinction. From 1973 to 1975, he was a Lenin scholarship recipient.
Academic Career
Start of Academic JourneyIn 1975, after graduating with honors, Batura joined MRTI as an assistant in the Department of Automated Control Systems. In 1978, he became a full-time graduate student.
Doctoral Degree and Senior Positions
After completing his doctorate program, Batura became an assistant professor in the Department of Computational Methods of Programming in January 1982. In 1984, he defended his doctoral thesis and was awarded the title of associate professor in 1985.
Administrative Leadership
From 1986 to 1987, Batura served as deputy dean. From 1987 to 1995, he was dean of the Faculty of Automation and Control. From 1995 to 1998, he was dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Management. In 1993, he became a professor in the Department of Computational Methods of Programming.
Researcher and Scientist
Batura serves as the chairman of the BSUIR expert council for the scientific field "Information and Educational Technologies in Education." He is also the scientific director of the "New Educational Technologies" research laboratory.
Public and Civic Roles
Chairman of Minsk Belaya Rus OrganizationBatura is the chairman of the Minsk city organization of the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus."
Member of High-Tech Park
He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Park of High Technologies.
