Childhood and Early Life in Baku

Mikita "Mika" Serhiyovych Fataiov was born on March 31, 1983, in Baku, Azerbaijan (although hospital records mistakenly recorded his birthdate as April 1st). In 1989, amidst rising ethnic tensions, his family relocated to Ukraine, where his parents divorced shortly after. Mika's mother, Alla Sumbatovna Fatova (born December 27, 1958), registered her son under her maiden name, which was also the surname of his maternal grandfather, a renowned wedding musician. Mika has a younger brother named Serhiy (born August 31, 1986).

School Years and KV

Mika's interest in performing arts emerged during his school years, where he participated in creative evenings, contests, and theatrical productions. His passion for humor and satire led him to join the KVN (Club of the Merry and Resourceful) during his university days. Mika also excelled in soccer, winning the 1999 Luhansk Oblast championship with the "Avangard" team of Antratsyt.

Education and KVN Career

Mika graduated from the Luhansk College of Culture and Arts, followed by the Luhansk State Institute of Culture and Arts. His KVN career took off with the teams "Va-Bank" and "Kogo Pozvat." Mika participated in numerous festivals in Sochi, showcasing his wit and comedic talent.

Association with "Kvartal 95"

In 2004, Mika's association with the entertainment company "Kvartal 95" began. He moved to Kyiv in 2008 and became the senior manager and later the administrative director of the project. Since 2012, he has performed in the popular satirical program "Evening Quarter," following the departure of Denis Manzhosov. Mika has also appeared in other "Kvartal 95" projects, including "Made in Ukraine," "Evening Kyiv," and "Sherlock."

Acting Career

Mika's acting career gained momentum with his role as Mika Tashunyan, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, in the television series "Servant of the People" in 2015. Since then, he has appeared in several films, such as "How the Cossacks..." (2009), "Rzhevsky vs. Napoleon" (2012), "1+1 doma" (2013), and "I, You, He, She" (2018).

Personal Life

Mika is married to Miroslava "Mila" Fatova. He has a stepdaughter, Eva, from his wife's previous marriage, and a son, Lionel, who was born on June 10, 2015.
