Viktor Ananchenko
Viktor Ananchenko is a Ukrainian politician and public activist who has held various positions, including:
Early Life and Education
Born in Sumy, Ukraine, in 1994, Viktor began his involvement in community service in 2010 by volunteering at local orphanages and rehabilitation centers. After completing high school, he enrolled in Sumy State Pedagogical University, obtaining a degree in Foreign Languages and later pursuing higher education in Administrative Management.
Journalism and Business
Viktor pursued journalism and joined the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine in 2013. He also managed a nightclub and served as a PR manager. In 2015, he worked as Deputy Director of Visa-Tour Ukraine.
Public Engagement
Student LeadershipViktor's public engagement began in 2015 when he was elected Chairman of the student and postgraduate trade union of Sumy State Pedagogical University. He actively organized student forums and, in 2016, became Student Mayor of Sumy Oblast. His efforts focused on fostering partnerships with international organizations such as the British Youth Council and the National Union of Students in the United Kingdom.
As Student President of Ukraine and Chair of the Fundraising Committee of the Ukrainian Student Association, he received recognition from the Parliamentary Committee on Science and Education for his significant contributions to student self-governance and youth policy.
Ukrainian Youth Council
In 2017, Viktor co-founded and became the head of the Ukrainian Youth Council and the All-Ukrainian Union "Sumy Psel." These organizations aim to support youth development and promote their active involvement in society.
Political Career
Assistant Mayor of SumyIn 2018, Viktor joined the Executive Committee of the Sumy City Council as an assistant to the Mayor, Alexander Lysenko.
Member of Parliament
In 2019, Viktor became a member of the Servant of the People party and was elected to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (the Ukrainian Parliament). He currently serves on the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation.
Inter-Parliamentary Diplomacy
Viktor is actively involved in inter-parliamentary relations as the head of the group for inter-parliamentary ties with Jordan and co-chair of the group with Qatar. He also holds positions in parliamentary groups with several other countries, including Canada, the Czech Republic, and India.
Family
Viktor's father, Oleg Ananchenko, is a former candidate for the Ukrainian Parliament and the Mayor of Sumy. His mother is Margarita Ananchenko. Viktor is currently unmarried.
