Milan Bozic: Canadian Footballer and the Ukrainian Controversy

Milan Bozic, a Canadian footballer of Serbian descent, played as a midfielder. His footballing career took an interesting turn in 2005 when he joined the Ukrainian club Volyn Lutsk.

Volyn Lutsk Stint

Despite being the first Canadian to play in the Ukrainian Premier League, Bozic's time at Volyn Lutsk was brief. He made only two appearances in the league and one in the Ukrainian Cup, where he scored a goal. However, his departure from the club was marred by controversy.

FIFA Dispute

After leaving the club, Bozic filed a complaint with FIFA's Disciplinary Committee through his agents. FIFA ruled in his favor, ordering Volyn Lutsk to pay a sum seven times more than what Bozic was initially owed. As a result, three points were deducted from Volyn Lutsk, the club paid 32,000 euros to a private football agency, and was also fined.

Serbian Club Career

From 2006 to 2008, Bozic played for the Serbian club Indjija, ending his professional football career shortly thereafter.
