French Beginnings and Leicester Disappointment

Diop began his professional career in France before joining Leicester City in England. However, he failed to break into the Leicester first team.

Ukrainian Interlude

Diop had a brief stint with Ukrainian club FC Stal Alchevsk in 2006, scoring a goal in 11 appearances. He also played in the youth league.

Moves in Belgium, Cyprus, and Spain
