SmackDown! Debut and Controversial Promos
Hassan and Daivari debuted on SmackDown! during the draft in 2004, with Hassan defeating The Big Show. On November 1st, Hassan and Daivari delivered a televised promo condemning America and its treatment of Middle Easterners. This message continued for over a month, sparking controversy among fans.
Political Outrage and RAW Incident
Hassan and Daivari's controversial promos reached a boiling point when they confronted Mick Foley on RAW and accused commentators of promoting American propaganda. On December 27th, they attacked Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler during a political debate, drawing further outrage.
Victories and Feuds
Hassan defeated Jerry Lawler and Hurricane in singles matches. He also secured a Royal Rumble qualification by defeating Val Venis. However, his in-ring success was overshadowed by his political rhetoric.
WrestleMania Moment and Hogan Intervention
