Natalie Evans: Baroness and Political Leader
Natalie Evans is a prominent British politician who has held high-ranking positions in the government. She has served as the Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal under both Theresa May and Boris Johnson.
Early Life and Education
Evans was born in London and attended the Henrietta Barnett School and the University of Cambridge. She then worked in the political department of the British Chambers of Commerce and as Deputy Director of the Conservative Party Research Department.
Political Career
In 2014, Evans was appointed a life peer, becoming Baroness Evans of Bowes Park. She served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Department for Education from 2015 onwards.
Government Leadership
On July 14, 2016, Evans was appointed Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal in Theresa May's cabinet. She retained these positions when Boris Johnson became Prime Minister in 2019.
