Early Life and Career

Nebojša Jelenković, a Serbian footballer, was born in Novi Sad, and began his football journey at the club's academy. His professional debut came in 1997 with Belgrade's FK Obilić, where he played 33 matches and contributed one goal. The season witnessed the team's triumph as the Yugoslav champions.

Move to Bulgaria and Success with Litex

In 1999, Jelenković signed with the Bulgarian club PFC Litex Lovech for a fee of €350,000. Over the course of the next nine years with Litex, he amassed 199 appearances, netting five goals. The team achieved notable success, winning the Bulgarian Cup three times and finishing as runners-up twice. In 2004, he was granted Bulgarian citizenship.

Brief Stint in Russia and Return to Litex

From August to November 2007, Jelenković was loaned to FC Kuban Krasnodar, making six appearances in the Russian Premier League. However, he subsequently returned to Litex.

Departure from Litex and Arrival in Slovakia

In June 2008, Jelenković bid farewell to Litex and ventured to Slovakia to join FC Spartak Trnava on a two-year contract with an option for an additional year.

Return to Litex and Short Stint with Spartak

The collaboration with Spartak was short-lived, with Jelenković leaving the club in July 2009 due to a mutual agreement. He subsequently returned to Litex.

International Career

From 1998 to 1999, Jelenković represented the Yugoslavia U21 team, accumulating 11 appearances and scoring two goals.
