Early Life and Career

Nikola Lazetić, a Serbian footballer, was born in 1978 in Kosovo. He began his career as a youth player for Trepča in Kosovska Mitrovica. In 1995, he moved to Belgrade as a talented junior and joined Red Star Belgrade. He later played for Budućnost Valjevo, Obilić, and other Yugoslav clubs.

International Success

In 2000, Lazetić transferred to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe for a transfer fee of $6 million. He spent two productive seasons with the team. In 2002, he joined Como in Italy as a free agent. However, he spent two seasons on loan at Chievo and Lazio before settling at Genoa in 2003.

Return to Italy

After a brief stint with Siena on loan, Lazetić returned to Genoa in 2004 and helped the team achieve promotion to Serie A. However, due to a match-fixing scandal, Genoa was relegated to Serie C. Lazetić subsequently moved to Livorno.

Later Career

In 2006, Lazetić joined Torino and became a regular in the starting lineup, contributing to the club's promotion to Serie A. In 2008, he returned to his hometown club Red Star Belgrade as a captain. Lazetić also represented Yugoslavia (later Serbia and Montenegro) in 25 international matches, scoring one goal.
