Nikolai Vasilyevich Zhukovwas born on September 29, 1949, in the Gorky Region of Russia. He obtained a higher education in mechanical engineering from the Gorky Agricultural Institute in 1975.

Career Beginnings

After graduating, Zhukov was assigned to the Ivanovo Region and worked as the chief engineer of the "Selkhozkhimiya" agricultural chemical company in the Pestryakovsky District from 1975 to 1983.

Party Leadership

In 1983, Zhukov's career shifted to party work, where he served as the second secretary of the Verkhnelandekhovsky District Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) from 1983 to 1988.

District Leadership

From 1988 to the present, Nikolai Zhukov has held the position of District Head of the Verkhnelandekhovsky District, initially as the chairman of the district executive committee and later as the head of the administration. He retained his post after the 2005 elections for district head.
