Nikolai Voronyuk: A Journey Through Ukrainian and Foreign Clubs
Youth Career and Early BeginningsBorn and trained at Odessa's Chornomorets, Nikolai Voronyuk began his professional career in 2001 with Mashynobudivnyk Druzhkivka. After a stint with SKA Odessa in the mini-football league, he returned to Chornomorets-2 in 2004.
Second and First League Experience
In 2006, Voronyuk joined Ros Bila Tserkva in Ukraine's Second League. The following year, he moved to Podillia Khmelnytskyi in the First League, playing in 12 games and conceding 18 goals.
Moldovan Revolution and Contract Turmoil
In September 2007, Voronyuk signed a four-year contract with Zimbru Chisinau in Moldova. However, controversy ensued in February 2008 when he refused to participate in a training camp due to unpaid wages. This conflict led to the termination of contracts for several players, including Voronyuk.
Debut and Departure in Moldova
Voronyuk made his Moldovan league debut in April 2008, deputizing for the injured Adrian Negai against Dacia. He also played in the Moldovan Cup semi-final and made an appearance for Zimbru-2 before his contract was mutually terminated in 2009.
Unfulfilled Stint at Arsenal Kyiv
Voronyuk joined Arsenal Kyiv as a free agent in the summer of 2009. Despite being third choice behind Vitaliy Reva and Serhiy Pogorely, he failed to play any official matches and left the club in early 2011.
Abroad in Poland
Voronyuk signed for IV liga club Wissa Szczecin in Poland in 2011. He featured in 10 matches, conceding 13 goals, before the team was relegated.
Unfulfilled Trial at Widzew
In August 2011, Voronyuk had an unsuccessful trial with Widzew Lodz in Poland.
