Early Life and Education
Nurbek was born on February 15, 1988, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. His father was in the armed forces while his mother was a railway engineer. Nurbek pursued his passion for music by attending the "Kokil" music college. He furthered his education in marketing and management in China and England.
Musical Career
In 2012, Nurbek launched his music career under the stage name Nurtuan, meaning "Born of Light" in Kazakh. He founded his own label Nurtuan Records (later renamed De Qazo Records) and a recording company. His debut music video "Give Me A Chance" was released in 2013 and became a hit.
Relocation and Expansion
In 2014, Nurbek moved to Los Angeles. He established Nurkom Promotions, a marketing company, and Nurkom Pictures, a visual effects and animation studio. In 2015, his single "I Like the Way" gained critical and commercial success.
Comic Book and Film Production
Nurbek ventured into the world of comics in 2016 with his first publication, "Golden Man: Legacy of the Steppe." He then founded NurKom Production, a film company that specializes in commercial films, music videos, and television projects.
