Biography of Hovanes Igityan

Hovanes Igityan is a former member of the Armenian Parliament. He completed his education at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute from 1977 to 1982, where he studied radio electronics and graduated as an engineer.

From 1981 to 1990, Igityan worked at the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute as a laboratory assistant in the research department. He later became a scientific collaborator and eventually became the head of a research laboratory.

In 1990, he began his political career as a member of the Supreme Council, where he served as a deputy until 1995. During his time in the Supreme Council, Igityan was a member of the "AOD" party.

From 1995 to 1999, Igityan served as a member of the Armenian Parliament. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations. He also continued his affiliation with the "AOD" party during this period.
