Paolo Boselli
Early Life and EducationPaolo Boselli was born on June 8, 1838, in Savona, Italy. After completing his higher education, he embarked on his political career in 1870, becoming a member of the Italian Parliament for the Conservative Party.
Parliamentary Service and Cabinet Positions
From 17 February 1888 to 6 February 1891, Boselli served as Minister of Education in the cabinet of Francesco Crispi. Throughout his parliamentary career, he held various other cabinet positions.
World War I and Premiership
Boselli played a key role in Italy's entry into WWI. Following a series of military setbacks, he assumed the post of Prime Minister on 18 June 1916, at the age of 78. However, his leadership during wartime proved unsatisfactory, and he was forced to resign in October 1917.
Post-War Years
In the years that followed, Boselli expressed sympathy for fascism, sharing its antipathy towards socialism. He passed away in Rome on March 10, 1932.
