Biography of Pap Diakhaté
Pap Diakhaté is a Senegalese football player who played as a defender. He grew up in the small fishing village of Ouakam, Senegal, in a gendarme family. He was the fourteenth child in his family.

In 2001, Diakhaté moved to France where he started playing for "Nancy". He became the team's captain and was one of the best defenders in the French championship in 2006/07.
In the summer of 2007, he was bought by Kyiv's "Dynamo" for 10 million euros. In his 28th game for "Dynamo", Diakhaté scored his first goal with a header during a match against "Dnipro" on November 30, 2008, in Kyiv.
In early 2009, he was injured in a friendly game against Kazan's "Rubin". On February 16, his knee joint was operated on in Belgium. The doctors predicted that he would need at least five to six months to recover before he could play football at the level of official matches again.
From 2009 to May 2010, Diakhaté played on loan for the French top division club "Saint-Étienne". During this time, "Saint-Étienne" only paid a part of his salary, while the remaining part was still paid by "Dynamo" Kyiv. Diakhaté's performance for the French club was positively evaluated.
Afterwards, "Lyon" became interested in acquiring Diakhaté's services on loan for the 2010/11 season. To have the right to use Diakhaté, "Lyon" paid 440,000 € to Kyiv's team.
On July 5, Diakhaté scored a goal in a match for the Ukrainian Super Cup. However, on August 26, 2011, it was announced on "Dynamo" Kyiv's official website that Diakhaté was leaving the club and moving to the Spanish football club "Granada".
