Member of ParliamentIn the 2021 parliamentary election, St-Onge was elected as the Member of Parliament for Brome—Missisquoi in Quebec under the Liberal Party of Canada. She won with 21,488 votes, defeating the Bloc Québécois candidate with a margin of less than 200 votes, leading to a recount.

On October 26, 2021, St-Onge was appointed as the Minister of Sport and Minister responsible for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec.
