Early Life and CareerPaulo Falcao, a former Brazilian football player and midfielder, was born on October 16, 1953, in Santa Catarina, Brazil. He began his professional career playing for Internacional Porto Alegre in Brazil from 1963 to 1979. Falcao's impressive performance on the field earned him recognition as a versatile player, excelling at both defensive and offensive positions.
Club Career
After his successful stint with Internacional Porto Alegre, Falcao transferred to Roma in Italy from 1979 to 1984. He played 107 matches and scored 22 goals during his time with Roma. He also had short spells with Vasco da Gama Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo in Brazil from 1984 to 1988.
During his club career, Falcao won several titles, including the Brazilian Championship in 1975, 1976, and 1979, the Italian Championship in 1983, and the Italian Cup in 1981 and 1984. He reached the final of the Copa Libertadores in 1980 and the final of the European Champions Cup in 1984. Falcao was also named the best player in Brazil in 1976 and 1979.
International Career
Falcao represented the Brazilian national team from 1976 to 1986, playing 39 matches and scoring 9 goals. He made his debut on February 27, 1976, against Argentina. Falcao participated in the FIFA World Cups in 1978, 1982, and 1986, as well as the Olympic Games in 1972.
Coaching Career
After retiring from playing, Falcao ventured into coaching. He served as the coach of the Brazilian national team from 1990 to 1991. However, his coaching career did not achieve the same success as his playing career.
Personal Life
