Early Life and Football Beginnings
Pavel Stegniy was born in Belarus and began his football journey in the second grade when a coach from a local youth sports school visited his school. Impressed by his skills, the coach invited Pavel to join his football academy. With his parents' consent, Pavel enrolled in the Minsk Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 5.
Youth Career
Throughout his youth, Pavel excelled on the field, helping his team win numerous tournaments across Belarus. He graduated from secondary school with only one grade lower than an A and subsequently enrolled in a technical college.
Professional Club Career
Pavel's professional career began with Minsk's Torpedo-MAZ, where he earned his first salary of $50. He later joined Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk and Krivbas Kryvyi Rih, playing two seasons with the latter. In 2006, he moved to Chornomorets Odesa and helped the team finish third in the Ukrainian Championship in the 2005/2006 season. He then spent time with Karpaty Lviv and Illichivets Mariupol before signing with Kazakhstan's Kairat Almaty in 2011. After one season in Kazakhstan, he returned to Belarus and joined FC Gomel in 2012.
International Career
Pavel represented Belarus at the 2004 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, where he contributed a goal in a 1-1 draw against Croatia. In 2005, he made his debut for the senior national team of Belarus, earning a total of four caps.
Personal Life
Pavel Stegniy is married to Viktoria, and together they have a daughter named Ulyana.
