Education
In 1995, Pavel Latushko graduated from Belarusian State University. The following year, he obtained a degree from the Minsk State Linguistic University.
Diplomatic Career
After completing his education, Latushko embarked on a diplomatic career in 1995, serving as an attaché in the Treaty and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. In 1996, he was appointed vice-consul at the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Białystok, Poland.
Rise through the Ranks
From 1996 to 2000, Latushko served as vice-consul and consul in Białystok. In 2000, he returned to Minsk to become the head of the Information Department and press secretary of the MFA of Belarus.
On December 6, 2002, Latushko was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Poland. He held this position until October 31, 2008.
Minister of Culture
On June 4, 2009, Latushko was appointed Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus. He served in this role until November 16, 2012.
Ambassador to France and UNESCO
Following his tenure as Minister of Culture, Latushko was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the French Republic. He also became the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to UNESCO on November 16, 2012.
Additional Diplomatic Roles
On May 20, 2013, Latushko was concurrently appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Spain and the Portuguese Republic.
