Biography of Peter Hansen

Peter Hansen was a prominent figure in the SS during World War II. He was born on [birthdate] and served as a Brigade Leader of the SS and a Major General of the SS forces. Hansen's military career began during the First World War, where he distinguished himself and was awarded the Iron Cross, both first and second class.

In April 1933, Hansen became a member of the Nazi Party (NSDAP) with the party number 2860864, and also joined the SS with the membership number 129846. From April 1933 to August 1935, he served in the SS Main Office "Mitte". From October 2, 1943, to May 1, 1944, he commanded the Italian Auxiliary Police (Milizia Armata Polizei), which was later reorganized into the 1st Italian Grenadier Brigade of the SS, and ultimately the 29th Italian SS Division towards the end of the war. On March 14, 1944, Hansen received a severe reprimand from the disciplinary court for taking unjustified risks.

From July 10 to August 22, 1944, Hansen served as the commander of the artillery of the 3rd SS Tank Corps. In September-October 1944, he once again commanded the 1st Italian Grenadier Brigade of the SS. From November 1944 to February 1945, he held the position of artillery commander of the 1st SS Tank Corps. Finally, from February 5 to May 8, 1945, Hansen served as the Chief of Staff of the 18th SS Army Corps.
