Early Life and Junior CareerRajeev Ram is an American tennis player who began playing tennis at the age of four. He had a successful junior career, winning three national junior championships in singles and seven in doubles at various age categories. In 2002, he reached the final of the Wimbledon junior tournament in doubles with Bryan Baker.
Early Professional Career
In the same year, Ram won his first professional tournament, the ITF Futures, in both singles and doubles. He continued his success in doubles, winning his first ATP Challenger titles in 2004 with Baker. Later that year, he reached the final of an ATP tournament in New Haven with Bobby Reynolds, reaching a career-high ranking of 104 in doubles.
Breakthrough and Success
Ram's breakthrough came in 2009 when he won three ATP tournaments in doubles and one in singles, defeating top-ranked players such as Sam Querrey. He finished the season ranked among the top 100 singles players and in the top 50 doubles players. In 2010, he reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in doubles, reaching a career-high ranking of 33.
Recent Career
In July, Ram won his fourth ATP title in doubles in Atlanta, partnering with Scott Lipsky. He continues to compete at a high level in both singles and doubles, regularly participating in ATP tournaments.
