Early Life and Career

Revaz Arveladze is a former Georgian footballer and midfielder who was born in Georgia. He began his professional career with Metallurg Rustavi, a second-league club. In 1989, he joined the reserve team of Dinamo Tbilisi and scored two goals.

Domestic and International Club Career

After Georgian teams withdrew from the USSR Football Championship, Arveladze played in the Georgian Football Championship. Initially playing for Martve, he later rejoined Dinamo Tbilisi in 1991. In the spring of 1994, he signed a six-month contract with FC Köln in the Bundesliga. He returned to Georgia later that summer but soon returned to Germany to play for Tennis Borussia Berlin. In 1996/97, he played for Mechelen in Belgium. Later, he played for Homberg and Rot-Weiss Oberhausen in the Oberliga.

Coaching and Leadership Roles

In 2000, Arveladze became the youngest coach in the history of Dinamo Tbilisi. In March 2001, he was appointed president of the club. However, he resigned in October of the same year due to a change in club leadership. In 2003, he became the head coach of Georgia's Olympic youth team and Lokomotiv Tbilisi. In 2004, he was elected vice-president of the Georgian Football Federation. From 2009 to 2015, he served as general secretary of the federation.

Family and Legacy

Revaz Arveladze has two footballer brothers, Shota and Archil. His younger son, Vakhtang (Vato), also plays football professionally. His uncle is famous Georgian actor and singer Vakhtang Kikabidze, and his aunt is actress Keti Dolidze.
