Biography of Robert Warren Dudley

Robert Warren Dudley is a renowned American businessman who has made significant contributions to the oil industry. He was appointed as the President and CEO of TNK-BP Management in 2003, a position he held until the present. With his exceptional leadership skills, Dudley has successfully guided the company through various challenges and has played a pivotal role in its growth and success.

Dudley's journey in the oil industry began after he obtained his degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois. He then pursued his higher education and received a Master's degree in Economics and Management from Southern Methodist University in the United States. Additionally, he obtained a Master's degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Before joining TNK-BP Management, Dudley held several key positions in the oil industry. He worked for the Amoco Corporation as a strategist and project developer in the South China Sea. From 1994 to 1997, he worked in Moscow as part of Amoco, where he was responsible for corporate development in exploration and production, refining, and trading in Russia.

In 1997, Dudley joined the BP Group, where he served as the Vice President responsible for exploration and production in Angola, Egypt, Russia, the Caspian region, and Algeria. He also served as the Vice President for Renewable and Alternative Energy Sources, contributing to the development of sustainable energy strategies.

Dudley's exceptional leadership skills and extensive experience in the industry led to his recognition as the "Best Foreign Manager in Russia" in 2005. This prestigious award, known as the "Aristos" award, was bestowed upon him by the Association of Managers of Russia (AMR). The recipients of this award were chosen through a secret ballot by the academy members, and the vote count was audited by the independent company, Deloitte.

Apart from his role in TNK-BP Management, Dudley is actively involved in various organizations. He is a member of the Russian-American Business Council and serves on the Advisory Board of the newly established Moscow School of Management "Skolkovo." Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Trustees for Thunderbird School of Global Management and the Garvin School of International Management.

Dudley is married to Mary Dudley, and they have two children. Mary is actively involved in philanthropic work in Russia and founded the Diema's Dream Foundation, which supports disabled and orphaned children in the country.
