Early Life and Career

Roxana-Mihaela Tudose was born on March 27, 1976, in Romania. She began her career in the spotlight by winning the title of Miss Romania at a national beauty pageant in 1994.

Education and Politics

In 1998, Tudose earned a degree in sociology from the University of Bucharest. She subsequently worked as a director for a PR firm and as an advisor to the Minister of Transport.

European Parliament

Following Romania's accession to the European Union in 2007, Tudose became a Member of the European Parliament. She served as Vice-President of the Romanian Youth Council since 2001.

Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies

In the 2008 Romanian parliamentary elections, Tudose was elected to the Chamber of Deputies as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Romania. She assumed the role of Speaker of the lower house of the Romanian Parliament, a position she held until July 3, 2012.
