Vitalii Sokha: A Ukrainian Statesman and Economic Expert
Early Life and EducationVitalii Sokha, a prominent Ukrainian public figure, holds expertise in financial management and the profitability of banking institutions and organizations. He is a graduate of the Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy and the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University (specializing in Finance).
Professional Career
Sokha's professional journey began in financial institutions, where he held various leadership positions. From 2001 onward, he served as an economist in the foreign exchange department of a bank and rose through the ranks to become its regional center director. Sokha also worked as an assistant to Verkhovna Rada member Iryna Suslova. In addition, he held the positions of regional retail center director at PJSC Swedbank and director of the Zaporizhzhia branch of PJSC Ukrinbank. Notably, he was also the director of the advertising agency Everest.
Political Career
Sokha's involvement in politics led him to become the head of the Zel!office in Zaporizhzhia. In the 2019 parliamentary elections, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada as a candidate for the Servant of the People party in Electoral District No. 75 (Dniprovskyi and Zavodskyi districts of Zaporizhzhia city). At the time of his election, Sokha was unemployed and a member of the Servant of the People political party.
Member of Parliament
Upon being elected to the Verkhovna Rada, Sokha became a member of the Committee on Digital Transformation, where he currently serves as chairman of the Subcommittee on E-Governance and E-Democracy. Additionally, he is a member of the group for inter-parliamentary relations with the Principality of Monaco.
