Education
Rostislav Lyubomyrovych Valikhnovsky was born on February 24, 1973, in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. In 1980, he commenced his elementary education at Secondary School No. 1 in Turyisk, Volyn Oblast, graduating with honors in 1990. Subsequently, he pursued a degree in general medicine at Ternopil State Medical University named after Academician I. Ya. Gorbachevsky, earning his bachelor's degree with distinction in 1997.
Medical Training and Fellowships
From 1997 to 1998, Valikhnovsky completed his internship in general surgery at the Kyiv Institute of Experimental and Clinical Surgery. He further specialized by undergoing training in intensive care at the Ottawa Civic Hospital in Ottawa, Canada, and in plastic and reconstructive surgery at HFI Clinic in Toronto, Canada. Between 2005 and 2006, he pursued advanced studies at the Institute of General and Emergency Surgery of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in Kharkiv. On June 8, 2006, Valikhnovsky successfully defended his doctoral dissertation.
Professional Career
In 1998, upon returning from Canada, Valikhnovsky established the Clinic of Doctor Valikhnovsky (Valikhnovski MD), where he served as lead surgeon. In 2005, he joined the surgical department of the Polyclinic No. 2 under the State Administration of the President of Ukraine. From 2008 to 2010, Valikhnovsky ascended to the position of Deputy Head of the State Administration of the President of Ukraine. In 2011, he was appointed Head of Medical Services and the department responsible for implementing the "112" emergency response system within the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine. Since 2012, he has led the Valikhnovski M.D. medical holding.
Civic Engagement
Valikhnovsky has demonstrated a consistent commitment to civic duty throughout his career. From 1993 to 1994, he served as president of the Western Ukrainian Association of Medical Students. In 2000, he joined the All-Ukrainian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons (VAPREKH). From 2007 to 2008, he was a member of the Coordination Council of the Ukrainian Young Leaders Forum. Additionally, Valikhnovsky has been a member of the presidium of VAPREKH since 2008 and is a co-founder of the Christian-Patriotic Union. He has actively participated in social initiatives, including the 1+1 TV channel project "Restore My Beauty."
Family Life
Rostislav Lyubomyrovych Valikhnovsky is a married father of a daughter.
