Rufus Sewell

Early Life and Education

Rufus Sewell was born in London, England, in 1967. His father, animator Bill Sewell, left the family when Rufus was young and passed away when he was ten years old. Raised by his mother, who was often lenient towards his antics, Rufus expressed himself through unconventional means. He experimented with hair colors, formed questionable acquaintances, and even faced legal trouble.

However, despite his unconventional behavior, Sewell was accepted into the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London. He spent three years studying before leaving in 1989. To support himself during his education, he worked as a cleaner, carpenter's assistant, and drummer in a rock band.
