Biography of Rumeysa Gelgi
Rumeysa Gelgi, the Guinness World Record holder for being the tallest girl in the world, resides in Turkey. She stands at a height of 2 meters and 13 centimeters, making her the tallest girl on the planet. Interestingly, the tallest man in the world also happens to live in Turkey, raising questions about this coincidence. However, Rumeysa Gelgi, an 11th-grade student, is unlikely to dwell on such matters and simply enjoys her new title.

Rumeysa Gelgi, who is 17 years old, lives in Turkey and is currently attending school in the 11th grade. From a young age, she had an abnormal growth rate, outpacing all her peers. Today, Rumeysa Gelgi's height measures 2 meters and 13 centimeters, which was enough to earn her the title of the Tallest Girl in the world recognized by the Guinness World Records. She lives with her parents, as well as her siblings, who have average heights.

Her significantly above-average height is a consequence of a condition known as Weaver Syndrome. Naturally, a height of over two meters brings its fair share of challenges and pain for Rumeysa. She has difficulty moving around and relies on special walkers for assistance. Nevertheless, Rumeysa remains strong, resiliently overcoming her illness. Her recent title bestowed upon her by the Guinness World Records has brought her pride and optimism.

"I enjoy standing out from everyone else," says Rumeysa. She also adds that no one can look down on her, and even the highest shelves in supermarkets are visible to her. Her shoe size corresponds to a men's size 47, and she also has unusually large hands. However, Rumeysa herself appears very slender. When she sits on a couch, it is convenient for women of average height to stand next to her, as they become roughly the same height. Standing next to children, Rumeysa looks astonishingly tall, as girls as old as five barely reach her knees.

Representatives from the Guinness World Records warmly welcomed the new record holder, emphasizing their recognition and appreciation for all unconventional individuals worldwide, especially those like Rumeysa who remain steadfast and resilient. Behind all the titles and certificates, there is another side to life, and Rumeysa starts and ends each day with pain. Her condition is genetic and extremely rare, with no radical and effective treatment currently available for Weaver Syndrome.
If Rumeysa Gelgi continues to grow at the same rate (considering she is only 17 years old), it is highly likely that she will surpass even the tallest man in the world, her famous fellow countryman, Sultan Kosen, who stood at a height of 251 centimeters. By the way, the tallest person in the world is American Robert Wadlow, whose height measured 272 centimeters, and this record was set back in 1940.
For now, Rumeysa Gelgi enjoys her record and the title of the Tallest Girl on the planet. If her peers used to mock her height in the past, her global fame and popularity have turned Rumeysa into a true star. Her record will be officially published in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2015.
